ForWind – Center for Wind Energy Research was set up collaboratively by the Universities of Oldenburg, Hanover and Bremen. In research, ForWind covers a wide-ranging spectrum of engineering and physics and monitors industry-oriented projects. Forwind is active in continuing training for skilled workers and managers, public talks, seminars and workshops and facilitates the sharing of knowledge between the business world, the political realm and the public at large.

WAB - the Wind Energy Agency is the network of the wind energy industry in Germany's northwest region and serves as a nationwide contact for the offshore wind industry. Since 2002, more than 350 German companies and institutes have become members of WAB, they cover all areas of the wind energy industry, from research and production to installation and maintenance. WAB receives a base funding from the State of Bremen; all costs exceeding this are borne by the members.
